Episode 5 - Jodi Orgil Brown - Navigating Forward through Adversity
There are times in our lives when we have the chance to rub shoulders and interact with people who leave our lives better for the experience.
My interview with Jodi Orgill Brown was one of those times.
She's a true survivor, having been through 22 surgeries over the past 15 years after doctors found a massive brain tumor wrapped around her brain stem. Surgery left half of her face paralyzed, with the sight in her eye on that side damaged. Through it all she has remained resilient, with a determination to become better instead of bitter. She shares her powerful story with others teaching them how to navigate forward through adversity and create amazing culture and life interactions that change lives.
Jodi is a professional speaker as a member of the National Speaker's Association. She has won multiple story telling awards. She is also the author of several award winning books, including her personal memoir, "The Sun Still Shines" which has sold nearly 50,000 copies.
This interview changed my life. I came away a better man for the having had the interaction. I can whole-heartedly promise that you will come away better for listening.
Be prepared to get a load of actionable nuggets as you do.
Here are just a few things your mind will be invited to take in:
- How does looking for opportunities to give kindness open doors to helping others.
- How can on person's kindness impact an entire neighborhood, an entire community
- What is packed in two gallons, travels, and changes lives when shared?
- How does looking for ways to lift and build others, without expecting anything in return, actually polish our own brand?
- How can kindness help someone who is in the depths of hell hold on?
- What impact can a simple act of recorded kindness have 15 years later?
And SO, SO, SO, MUCH MORE!
